Josiane Gauthier

Josiane Gauthier is an accomplished reining horse trainer, riding coach and professional show exhibitor. Her success at winning major events both nationally and internationally are a testament to the endless hours, hard work and firm commitment she puts into every aspect of her personal and professional life.

Bio

In 2000, Gauthier left her home in Quebec, Canada, and came to North Carolina to start her career in the reining industry. Under the tutelage of her father and mentor, Francois, she learned all aspects of the reining horse industry, developed a remarkable work ethic and has become an extremely successful.

Gauthier has been showing with NRHA since she was eight years old. Her “complete devotion to each client” is unsurpassed, which makes it no surprise that she was selected to be NRHA Youth Coach of the Year in 2017. Her talent of “tuning into each client’s strengths and weaknesses” helps her succeed in helping her young riders reach their full potential.

Gauthier not only excels in coaching but also in being a skilled rider in the show pen. She was a part of the team that represented Canada at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 held in Normandy, France. Gauthier has also had individual success at the All American Quarter Horse Congress and NRHA Futurity, and has had many students achieve accolades there as well—an exhibition of her premier coaching abilities.
