With the season on the line and coming quickly to an end, who can pull out the perfect ride? The final stop on the 2019 Longines Global Champions Tour concludes in Prague, on the 21-24 of November. Before they get to Prague, all the jumpers go through New York.

Today, September 27th, 2019 kicks off the highly anticipated New York stop on the LGCT. Almost 100 horses and riders from 19 countries are participating. When the dust settles Sunday afternoon, who will emerge victorious?

The field is wide open with superstars such as the current #1 ranked, Pieter Devos, from Belgium. Also from Belgium, Olivier Philippaerts, is the Class 10: CSI5* 1.45/1.5m winner from the 2019 Miam Beach stop. There you can find Edwina Tops-Alexander, Julien Epaillard, Ben Maher, Jessica Springsteen, McLain Ward among many others.

“We are certainly in New York – You can feel the energy! It is going to be an extremely exciting few days of competition”, Tops-Alexander commented.

Coming into this last stop before the finals of the 2019 season, here are the Top 10:

1 – Pieter Devos – 278.00
2 – Ben Maher – 277.00
3 – Daniel Deusser – 259.00
4 – Kevin Staut – 250.00
5 – Maikel van der Vleuten – 245.00
6 – Marcus Ehning – 234.00
7 – Julien Epaillard – 233.00
8 – Niels Bruynseels – 229.00
9 – Peder Fredricson – 218.50
10 – Simon Delestre – 210.00

Will the top 10 leaderboard change after this weekend? If so how will it? Or will Devos be able to maintain his lead going into the season finals at Prague in November?

Not only will we see the singles compitetion unfold throughout the weekend, but we will also see how the Global Champions League concludes. Yes, there at Governor’s Island, New York, you will find the season ending finals for the GCL. “We have top riders and the top horses here all ready for the Finals” commented International course designer, Uliano Vezzani.
