Bio

Benjamin Aillaud is one of France’s most successful team drivers. The multiple time French Champion won the individual silver medal at the 2019 European Championships in Donaueschingen where he was also part of the medal winning French team. Aillaud is a popular coach and trainer and was formerly a showman in large equine themed productions.

Passionate about horses since childhood, Aillaud had his first horse at six years old, and began practicing in shows shortly after. He was attracted to team driving and at age 13 began devoting himself almost entirely to the discipline.

He has represented France numerous times in four-man carriage competition, earning 4th at the World Equestrian Games of Tryon in 2018 and winner of the CAI (international driving competition) of Nebanice in 2018.

Aillaud continues to have a passion for show riding. His stable is located in Tarn-et-Garonne near Réalville, while his show horses are housed at Haras de la Pourcaud. He is also the equestrian director of the Equestria and Tagad’art shows.

When he isn’t training, Aillaud enjoys playing piano and making music.
